Senior Accountant Responsibilities- Responsible for the completion of compilation, review and audit engagements
- Assist with the planning of attest engagements
- Test and determine the effectiveness of internal controls
- Correspond with clients to obtain necessary information
- Supervise and assist staff accountants on engagements
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Assist in the training and development of staff accountants
- Prepare corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and other tax forms, as needed
- Perform special projects, as needed
- Strong analytical abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of GAAP, FASB and GAAS
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while functioning well independently
- Organized and detail oriented
- Client service oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities with strong communication and customer service skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master’s degree
- CPA certification preferred
- 2+ years of public accounting experience
- Ability to work additional and non‑traditional work hours

- Perform diversified audit, review and compilation procedures under direction of senior staff
- Prepare corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary and other tax forms
- Assist senior staff with planning of engagements
- Interact with clients and firm personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Assist with special projects, as needed
- Strong analytical abilities

- Knowledge of GAAP, FASB and GAAS
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while functioning well independently

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field with 150 credits
- CPA license or demonstrated ambition to obtain CPA certification

- Analyze tax notices and prepare responses, as needed

- Familiarize with relevant internal revenue code sections and regulations
- Learn tax and accounting research techniques
- Working on a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Basic understanding of tax services
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities with strong communication and customer service skills
