GARNEY
An   Accounts Payable Specialist    position is available at Garney.
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a vital role in processing invoices and transactions efficiently and accurately. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented and possess a solid understanding of accounts payable procedures within the construction industry.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Review, code, and process invoices, expense reports, and pay applications in the ERP system
Execute payments (ACH, wire, check) accurately and on time; create and transmit payment files to banks
Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payment issues, including voids and adjustments
Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, maintaining professional and timely communication
Set up and maintain vendor records in compliance with company policies and documentation requirements
Manage high-volume workflows while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Track costs, support reporting requests, and assist with job cost monitoring
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient and timely accounts payable operations
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
1-4 years of accounts payable experience
High school diploma or equivalent - Required
Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

Experience with vendor management; interest in process improvement and technology
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume, accurate work
Effective problem-solving, research, and reconciliation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer/software systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate and build positive working relationships in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
