- Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team, creating an environment that encourages learning, accountability, and professional growth.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and ongoing development of team members.

- Manage daily accounting functions including cash, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of monthly financial statements and supporting reconciliations.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
- Oversee cash management, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and depreciation.
- Support the annual Medicare/Medicaid Cost Report and annual audit activities.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and that all related records, taxes, and reporting requirements are properly maintained.
- Oversee financial management and compliance for all grant and donor-restricted funding, including budget tracking, reporting, audit support, and cross-functional coordination with Development to ensure alignment with donor intent and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance accuracy across accounting operations.
- Lead or support implementation of system enhancements and workflow improvements.
- Develop, refine, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights that support decision making.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to strengthen financial processes and support organizational goals.
Ranken Jordan is dedicated to delivering services to patients with complex medical needs, including infants, children, and adolescents.
Education and Experience Required- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Healthcare accounting experience is strongly preferred; cost report experience a plus.
- Experience driving process improvements, system implementations, or workflow enhancements.
- Advanced Excel; experience with Great Plains preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and foster a collaborative work environment.
