Our client is seeking a Controller to leadthe accounting function within a fast-growing, investment-focused organization, serving as a key partner to executive leadership. This role goes beyond traditional accounting by combining financial oversight with strategic insight, operational collaboration, and performance-driven analysis.
This is a hands‑on leadership position for someone who is detail-oriented but forward-looking, analytical but curious, and energized by building structure and driving results.
- Own and oversee the full accounting function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial reporting
- Lead and continuously improve the month‑end close process, focusing on speed, accuracy, and reporting discipline
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business decisions
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations and finance teams to align financial results with business performance
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement
- Develop and enhance financial reporting, including KPIs and performance metrics
- Build and strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial infrastructure to support growth
- Identify gaps, implement structure, and drive continuous process improvement
- Support oversight of payroll, benefits, and administrative functions in coordination with external partners
- Leverage technology and automation to improve efficiency and insights
- Lead, develop, and grow the accounting team, establishing accountability and consistency across the function
- 5–7+ years of accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Experience in fast‑paced environments preferred
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills
- Proven ability to improve close processes and drive operational discipline
- Highly collaborative with the ability to partner across teams and influence leadership
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive, curious mindset
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to think strategically
- Experience building and developing teams
