Sr. Accountant

Overview

Our client is a small but growing medical device manufacturer seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join their team onsite in Valencia. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to make a direct impact in a growing organization. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the general ledger, managing month-end close, preparing reconciliations and journal entries, supporting audits, and assisting with reporting and compliance.

• Lead the month-end close process: prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analyses
• Manage daily cash applications, deposits, and monthly reconciliations
• Record payroll entries and benefit-related accruals (401K, FSA, workers’ comp, etc.)
• Handle general ledger accruals (prepaids, professional fees, consulting, etc.)
• Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and partner with department heads to resolve discrepancies
• Support audits and tax compliance by preparing reports and documentation
• Troubleshoot accounting issues related to billing, cash, A/R, A/P, and payroll
• Maintain accounting documentation and desk procedures within Flo Qast
• Participate in ad hoc projects to support accounting, reporting, and finance operations

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Solid understanding of US GAAP
• ERP experience (JD Edwards, D365, or similar)
• High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, financial analysis)
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company

Salary/Rate Range: $90,000 – $110,000
