The organization provides business development and pursuit, estimating, safety, accounting, human resources, information technology, marketing, and training services to clients within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (A/E/C) industry.

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team located at our office in Chesterfield, MO
. Our ideal candidate for a Finance Manager is someone who has 5+ years of experience and will combine strong accounting and finance expertise with a practical understanding of construction operations, project accounting, job cost management, risk mitigation, and an ability to communicate those with an impactful narrative.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the subsidiary/division.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Partner with project managers and operations teams to monitor project financial performance.
  • Review job cost reports, earned revenue, WIP schedules, change orders, and project forecasts.
  • Support risk identification and mitigation related to contracts, billing, collections, and project execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to subsidiary/division leadership on financial and operational matters.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, tax regulations, audit requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and support regulatory reporting requirements.
Primary Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within construction, engineering, EPC, or project-based industries.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, revenue recognition, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience partnering with operations and project management teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience with large‑scale infrastructure, industrial, or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Knowledge of percentage‑of‑completion accounting and project controls.
  • Experience managing subsidiary/division financial operations.
  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000
