Job DetailsWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the engineering industry. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a critical role in our financial management, including overseeing inventory accounting, month‑end close, cost improvement, and FP&A. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who is passionate about accounting, finance, and business optimization.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the entire financial reporting process, including the month‑end close.
- Handle inventory accounting, ensuring accurate valuation and timely reporting.
- Develop and implement cost improvement strategies to enhance the company's profitability.
- Conduct FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary information and answering queries.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to streamline accounting procedures and refine reporting systems.
- Provide financial advice and support to colleagues and management to aid strategic decision-making.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering industry.
- Prior experience in public accounting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, including GAAP.
- Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting and budgeting.
- Expertise in inventory accounting and cost improvement strategies.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
