Job Description

We are in search of a Payroll Clerk to join our team in Modesto, California. In this role, you will be handling payroll processing tasks within a food manufacturing setting. The role offers a long‑term contract employment opportunity where you will work on‑site, Monday through Friday.

• Administer and process company payroll in a timely manner.
• Utilize Kronos time‑keeping software for accurate tracking of worker hours.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and procedures.
• Safeguard confidentiality and security of all payroll documents.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for each payroll processed.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
• Provide payroll information as requested.
• Assist with payroll accounting and tax‑related tasks when necessary.
• Use Microsoft Excel for various payroll tasks.
• Utilize bilingual skills in Spanish to communicate with diverse team members.
• Proficiency in the Kronos Timekeeping System is required.
• Demonstrable expertise in various Payroll Functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of the Manufacturing industry is desirable.
• Spanish Language skills are advantageous.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent data entry skills.
