Responsibilities
- Serve as Micron’s technical accounting expert by proactively evaluating complex transactions
- Provide accounting mentorship and disclosure recommendations
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Research and interpret accounting guidance
- Consult with external experts as needed
- Prepare or review technical accounting memos for complex transactions
- Monitor FASB and SEC pronouncements
- Support SEC reporting requirements by drafting or reviewing disclosures
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional teams to implement accounting for complex transactions
- Partner with internal and external auditors to support timely quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
- Active CPA (or equivalent qualification)
- 8+ years of public accounting and/or related industry experience
- 5+ years in technical accounting with proficiency across multiple areas of U.S. GAAP
- Ability to research, interpret, apply, and communicate complex accounting guidance clearly to stakeholders at all levels
