Job Description
CFO Hub is looking for a Full-time Controller for a client who is a leading provider of technology solutions, this position is not with CFO Hub. A well-established technology solutions company is looking for a controller to join their growing team! The Controller is personally responsible for technical and administrative management of General Accounting and Finance. The applicant should have experience working for a government contractor.
The applicant must be well organized, have great time management skills and be able to act without guidance. This position reports directly to Senior Management/company owners.
Corporate Duties:
- Generates monthly status reports, submitting vouchers and financial tracking
- Perform postings to the General Ledger (Accrual JE’s, Payroll JE’s, etc.)
- Prepare Financial Statements
- Prepare for financial audits including incurred cost audits
- Monitors monthly indirect rates and analyzes impact for forecasting
- Performs reconciliations and journal entries
- Responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll taxes, invoicing, contract indirect rate determination
- Prepares and updates cost reports for billing purposes
- Reviews timesheets for Payroll, make corrections and adjustments as needed
- Assists the company with other administration duties as required
Education and Experience
A.
Required:
- 5 years of previous Government Contract Accounting experience (Two to three years of previous experience defense Government contracts preferred)
- Experience with Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contracts
- Experience using Quick Books software (Unanet preferred)
- Have a working knowledge of DCMA and DCAA regulations and be competent in determining Indirect Cost Proposal/rates (ICE/ICP) and Provisional Billing Rates (direct rates and indirect rates) for Government contracts
- Operational use and adherence to GAAP
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written, within all levels in the organization and among customers and business partners
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred;
Bachelor’s in Degree Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or related field may be acceptable.

Salary: $150-175k/per year
Physical setting:
- Office - San Diego, CA (on-site)
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
