About the RoleWe're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team.
You'll manage the day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including cash application, payment processing, invoicing, collections, and customer account management. You'll also work directly with customers and our Sales team to answer account questions, resolve discrepancies, and keep outstanding balances moving in the right direction.
This role is a great fit for someone who likes numbers and accuracy but doesn't want to spend the entire day buried in spreadsheets. You'll need to be comfortable communicating with people, following issues through to resolution, and taking ownership of what needs to happen next.
What You'll Do- Process and apply customer payments, including ACH payments, wire transfers, checks, and credit card receipts, while maintaining accurate cash receipt records.
- Manage customer accounts from invoicing through payment, including issuing invoices and statements, monitoring accounts receivable aging, and following up on past-due balances.
- Review customer account activity and provide Accounting approval for Sales Orders in Net Suite.
- Research payment discrepancies, respond to customer account questions, and manage AR communications by phone and email.
- Maintain accurate documentation while partnering with customers, Sales, and Accounting to resolve account issues and keep information current.
- Support the Accounting team with additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
- At least 3 years of accounting-related experience, including a minimum of 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with cash application, invoicing, collections, payment processing, and customer account management;
Net Suite or other ERP/accounting system experience is a plus. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally discuss account balances, payments, and collection matters with customers.
- A proactive approach to work-you follow through, recognize what needs attention, and look for the next priority without waiting to be asked.

- $46,000-$60,000 annual salary, based on experience and qualifications
