Premier Financial Search is representing a growing public accounting firm seeking an experienced Audit Senior ready to take the next step in their career. This role offers exposure to sophisticated clients and the opportunity to take greater ownership of engagements while working closely with managers and firm leadership.
The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting foundation, enjoys working directly with clients, and wants an environment where performance and contributions can translate into continued career advancement.
Responsibilities- Perform and lead audit procedures across multiple client engagements.
- Take ownership of assigned areas of engagements from planning through completion.
- Prepare and review audit work papers and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Identify potential accounting and audit issues and communicate findings to managers and engagement leadership.
- Coordinate directly with clients to obtain information, resolve questions, and keep engagements moving efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor staff-level professionals while reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
- Manage engagement deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining high standards for quality and client service.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3+ years of public accounting audit experience.
- Experience with financial statement audits and a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Investment fund or financial services audit experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior team members.
- CPA or progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple engagements and deadlines.
$85,000 to $100,000, depending on experience.
