Compensation: $200k - $220k base + 20% annual bonus.

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization with a multi-site operation is seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function while partnering closely with operations and executive leadership.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting leader who understands manufacturing finance, inventory, cost accounting, and multi-site operations and can bring structure, accountability, and financial discipline to a complex organization.
The Controller will oversee the company's accounting operations and financial reporting, with significant responsibility for inventory, manufacturing accounting, financial consolidation, and multi-site reporting. This individual will serve as a key business partner to operations and senior leadership and will lead a team of accounting professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the accounting and finance function across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Manage inventory accounting, reporting, valuation, and reconciliation across multiple locations.
- Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costs, variances, COGS, and operational performance.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and reporting across multiple entities/sites.
- Utilize SAP to manage and analyze financial, inventory, and operational data.
- Partner closely with plant and operations leadership to understand financial performance, identify trends, and drive profitability.
- Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial processes.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in partnership with senior leadership.
- Manage and develop the accounting team, establishing clear expectations and accountability.
- Support audits, tax processes, and other external reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience.
- Strong experience with SAP; hands-on experience with SAP within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with inventory accounting and inventory reporting.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing/cost accounting, including COGS, standard costing, and inventory variances.
- Experience with financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate an accounting team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and comfortable diving into the details.
