JOB SUMMARY

The Project Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the Mark Andy’s accounting, financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making process. This position is focused on all projects globally and partners closely with business unit leaders to deliver insightful financial analysis and forecasting. This position will be the primary liaison between Treasury (Financing), Project Managers, Contract Administration and Operations, while managing the full scope of the project, including Financial Analysis, for all projects.

The position combines hands‑on accounting expertise with forward‑looking financial planning and business analysis to support the company's objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive performance.

Location:

Onsite at Mark Andy Global Headquarters, Chesterfield, MO.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Manage the billing, tracking, analysis, and accounting for all Sales Projects.
  • Analyze and reconcile budget vs. actual costs for all projects
  • Manage booking and backlog tracking
  • Performs month‑end closing responsibilities and general ledger account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Support external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial policies
  • Ability to work as a team and supports operations globally.
  • Ability to analyze and develop reporting.
  • Support special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analyses as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA preferred; MBA, CMA, or CFA considered a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Interact well with others.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting tools.
  • CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Financial & Operational Acumen
  • Work in an office/manufacturing environment.
