Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $150,000 per year.

• Oversee month end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Lead and develop accounting staff by providing training, mentorship, performance feedback, and ongoing professional development.
• Analyze operational and financial performance, including cost trends, profitability metrics, and variance reporting.
• Collaborate with operations and other business units to ensure accurate transaction processing, inventory management, and financial data integrity.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Previous experience working with ERP systems and accounting software in a manufacturing, consumer products, or production environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

• CPA or CMA credential preferred.
• Prior experience within manufacturing, consumer products, co-packing, or other inventory intensive industries.
• Proven ability to build, coach, and lead high performing accounting teams while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and support strategic decision making.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities with a hands on approach and strong attention to detail.
