Responsible for assisting members and answering inquiries related to deposit account services. Retrieve track and perform maintenance of member deposit accounts and documents for the Credit Union and ensuring the accuracy of all scanned documents. Must work as a team player with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task and is comfortable in a changing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Monitors modification reports for receipt of proper documentation and signatures which include but is not limited to change of address request, new member account, and file maintenance in the core system and credit card processing system as instructed by the manager.
- Monitors the proper documentation and processing of IRA account opening, closing, and transactions within the core.
- Assists with the tax preparation and filing of the IRA tax statements through the third-party vendor.
- Responsible for adhering to and maintaining Record Retention guidelines in accordance with Federal Regulations.
- Conducts thorough account research requests within a timely manner.
- Verifies all account opening documents are submitted timely for consumer and commercial memberships.
- Prepares monthly dividend checks and ensures the accuracy of deposit account notices for maturity.
- Monitor daily shared branching reports and applies updates as necessary to member accounts.
- Reviews dormancy reports and assist with Escheatment processes.
- Assists with the centralized scanning process and procedure.
- Monitors returned mail and update member accounts accordingly.
- Answer calls from staff and members related to account services timely and according to credit union standards.
- Prepares document packages for legal and subpoena requests.
- Assists other personnel and staff as needed.
- Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
- Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
- Maintains written procedures for the position.

- Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained at all times.
- Keeps up to date on all policy changes and revisions.
- Ensures Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Identification Policy, and OFAC policies are followed.
- Maintains and projects Essential FCU’s professional reputation and privacy of account information.

Major Accountabilities:- Monitoring, tracking, and validating the account documentation required as it relates to the Deposit Operations Department.
- Assist with the Remote Deposit Capture and Share Branching process and procedure.
- Completes and validates the accuracy of the required reports and records within allotted timeframe.
- Assist with the IRA tax filing to ensure accuracy and completion within the required timeframe.
- Use of critical judgment in day-to-day situations and problems within established guidelines.
- Review daily reports related to IRA and CD accounts.
- High School Diploma
- Maintain knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software).
- Use of desktop and laptop computers.
- Knowledge of the core system and its ancillary software programs.
Experience working in a financial institution with a minimum of three years is required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to present information through presentations and provide training
Perform primarily sedentary work on computer or laptop for an average of 8 hours per day. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile and calculator. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
