Position Overview

A well-established and respected professional services organization is seeking a Legal Billing Clerk to join their team on a direct hire basis. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with billing systems, data, and client support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open and close matters and run conflict checks
  • Generate, review, and distribute monthly prebills and invoices
  • Respond to WIP and AR inquiries
  • Submit and manage matters in client billing portals, including budget updates and timekeeper status
  • Communicate with clients, adjusters, and internal staff regarding billing matters
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and high-volume email requests
  • Maintain accurate billing records and ensure timely processing
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of legal billing or law firm experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with billing systems (Omega or similar a plus)
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable learning new systems and working in a digital environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
