Under the direction of the Correctional Health Services Administrator (CHSA) I/II, the Office Technician (Typing) performs a wide variety of administrative clerical support duties. Duties require general knowledge of Department regulations and policies and an understanding of department-wide office practices and procedures. The office technician must possess the ability to communicate effectively and exercise good judgment.

• Perform general clerical duties for CHSA I/II and programs under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• One year of experience in California state service performing clerical duties at a level of responsibility equivalent to Office Assistant, Range
  
  B.
• OR two years of experience in typing and clerical work. Academic education above the twelfth grade may substitute one year of required general experience.
