Your Opportunity
The Receptionist is responsible for providing a friendly and professional greeting to a high volume of visitors and callers. Issues visitor badges, directs visitors to their proper destinations, and provides exceptional customer service. Duties also include maintaining conference rooms and meeting schedules, providing training for relief receptionist if needed, and occasionally providing clerical support to other departments as needed. Serves as backup to mailroom services as needed.
CoreResponsibilities
- Operates multi-line telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing local and long distance calls. Receives and relays incoming and internal calls. Refers messages to appropriate parties.
- Greet clients and visitors, receives and registers visitors and assigns badges when necessary. Announces visitors and directs them to their proper destination.
- Performs clerical duties as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining front desk procedure log, master phone list, weekly announcements and new hire kits.
- Receives and directs deliveries.
- Responsible for inventory, ordering and stocking reception break room supplies as well as ensuring that the breakroom and front desk area is neat and clean.
- Responsible for covering absences in the mailroom and providing mailroom support.
- May pull data to create reports.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish, preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, especially Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
- Must be attentive to details.
- Should be able to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Requires upbeat personality which can interact well with all associates.
- Switchboard experience preferred.
- SAP and KRONOS experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
