Job Summary
:
Provides clerical and administrative support to a departmental office or program.
- Perform office duties in support of faculty, staff, and student efforts, including word processing, data entry, maintaining files, processing mail, and duplication.
- Gather, compile, and enter data, producing routine reports and documents.
- Produce handouts, fliers, newsletters, brochures, manuals, and other documents.
- Answer telephone calls, route calls or take messages, and respond to or direct inquiries in person or by telephone.
- Input budget figures, prepare requisitions, log and track expenditures, take payments, or issue invoices or bills.
- Maintain tracking systems and logs.
- Operate office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
- Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software; may also use social media, desktop publishing, and update webpages.
- Maintain confidentiality of work‑related information and materials.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Maintain an established work schedule.
- Effectively use interpersonal, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Perform other clerical duties including data entry and file maintenance.
- Display customer orientation when working with a multicultural population.
Work is routinely performed in a standard office environment. The position may involve standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, as well as occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
Compensation & HoursPay rate: $23.00 per hour. Up to 19 hours per week.
