Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented Office Manager (Contractor) to lead workplace operations for our Redwood City headquarters. This role sits at the center of the employee experience, ensuring our office operates efficiently while creating an environment where employees, leaders, customers, and visitors can do their best work.
Hourly rate $40.00.
What You'll Do Workplace Operations & Employee Experience- Own day‑to‑day operations of the Redwood City headquarters, ensuring a seamless and productive workplace experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for building management, facilities partners, and office vendors.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, inventory, mail services, and workspace organization.
- Maintain workplace safety standards, compliance requirements, and office readiness.
- Monitor and manage office budgets, vendor contracts, and operational expenses.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees working from or visiting headquarters.
- Greet candidates warmly, create a welcoming first impression and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview process.
- Coordinate onsite meetings, company events, All Hands gatherings, leadership offsites, and team activities.
- Manage catering, hospitality, and visitor experiences for employees, customers, candidates, and guests.
- Partner with IT and People teams to support onboarding, offboarding, and workplace logistics.
- Assist with leadership team onsite meetings and operational support as needed.
- Support internal communications and culture‑building initiatives that strengthen employee engagement.
- Help foster an inclusive, welcoming, and high‑energy workplace environment.
- 3+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, executive support, or a related function within a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and execute with minimal direction.
- Experience managing vendors, facilities relationships, and general budgets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and workplace operations tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm, solutions‑oriented approach.
- Experience leveraging AI and modern productivity tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Take ownership and proactively solve problems before they become obstacles.
