Aurora R-VIII School District Substitute Position

The Aurora R-VIII School District is accepting applications for substitutes.

Substitute Requirements include:

  • You'll have to complete this training if you don't have 60 college credit hours:

  • You'll need to create an account and apply for a sub certificate through DESE:

    (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Documentation of your Frontline training completion OR official transcripts showing 60 hours will need to be mailed to them as well as diploma, etc.

  • You'll need to fill out the Substitute application on our district webpage.
  • * Schedule a background check.
  • * Fill out the other payroll paperwork including the Substitute Preference sheet and return to the office.
  • * Email Kate Coatney (kcoatney) to request the background check information as well as the additional payroll paperwork.
  • Complete required video training. A link will be emailed to you once all other steps are complete.
