Lube Technician Position at Reuther Ford
Reuther Ford in Herculaneum is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lube Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive service and maintenance, with a focus on providing quality repair work. As a Lube Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine oil changes, brakes, coolant services, transmission services, brake flushes, tire services, recalls, state/emission inspections, and other essential maintenance and repair tasks to ensure vehicles operate smoothly and efficiently.
Duties- Complete a thorough multi-point video inspection on every vehicle and record findings.
- Perform oil changes and fluid level checks on various vehicles.
- Conduct tire services including rotation, balancing, and alignment.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle issues and recommending appropriate services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Perform maintenance as specified on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Complete air and cabin filter replacement.
- Complete battery tests and replacement as necessary.
- Complete wiper replacement as necessary.
- Complete replacement of small bulbs as necessary.
- Maintenance repairs to be performed based on ability level.
- Fluid flushes and other maintenance services.
- Perform brake jobs and minor recalls.

- Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly.
- Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage.
- Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.
- Ford certification is a plus.
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus.
- Ability to identify the problem quickly.
- Knowledge of automobiles.
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
- Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical degree preferred.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year in service department.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Positive, friendly attitude.
