Overview

The Principal Product Manager/Owner (Care Tend / CPR+ SME) of Technology Products at a Specialty Pharmacy advocates for our clients, a voice on market needs, and the business owner for technology products. This role is responsible for collaborating internally with technology and other leadership, managing relationships with technology vendors, and internal team members to launch and deliver products. The Product Manager/Owner works closely with technology, PMO, and other leaders on new and existing opportunities to deploy and manage technological products.

They innovate, create business cases when necessary, and provide visibility to organizational stakeholders. This role plays an instrumental part in our go-to-market rollout by working with Sales and Marketing to highlight the value proposition of our technology products to prospective clients. They also work with Operations on the implications to operational processes required for successful launches and with IT on any software design and build needed.

The Product Manager/Owner manages the product roadmaps at Company in collaboration with IT and other business leaders.

Essential Functions
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily:
  • Act as a superuser of technology when necessary and a subject matter expert and is responsible for the daily day to management of the system based on requirements from the business, clients, and projects.
  • Collaborates with Operations on how products and services impact operations and helps define and design training, procedural, and automation needs. Adjusts the systems according to operational need and business drivers.
  • Works closely with Finance ensuring data and related functions to support billing our manager.
  • Collaborates with IT on design and build requirements, interfaces integration requirements to third party aggregations systems, and timelines for IT releases.
  • Manages the vendor relationship with the technology vendors.
  • Defines the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for company products and services.
  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes market/customer requirements and manage these to deliver through a planning process and tools.
  • Own the product roadmap and execute product strategy with timing and launch plans.
  • Responsible for the product, service, and maintenance budget.
  • Work closely with Sales and Account Management on client needs that influence the product roadmaps.
  • Works closely with Marketing on product and services go-to-market strategy, communications, and key differentiators.
  • Manage all existing product and service aspects, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues.
  • Regularly reviews completed work and checks with customers to ensure it meets the customer's expectations.
  • Stays on top of market trends; understanding of the competition, how customers think of and buy our product, and the reasons customers purchase our products.
  • Recommends or contributes information in setting product pricing, with awareness of competitive pricing.
  • Represents Company in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for others.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related fields
  • 2-5 years of product management experience
  • Experience with Care Tend, CPR+ or related Pharmacy Management Systems is required
  • Experience in Healthcare or Pharma preferred, but not required
  • Proven experience in market research and competitive analysis
  • Familiarity and experience with requirements gathering, case studies, product comparisons, and competitor analysis.
  • Experience with IT, PMO, Operations, Quality, and Training departments on release and launching software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficient in analyzing data
  • Proficient in reading, evaluating, or building project management
  • Ability to multitask work in a fast-paced environment
