You are a motivated Business Development Professional who wants to make a positive impact in your community. You’ve been successful because you value relationships and understand that partnerships are always mutually beneficial. You may not have worked in staffing before, but you like the idea that the work you do will help people find their perfect jobs, and companies find the missing piece they have been needing.
What you will be doing:
- Generate and develop new business to meet production goals in temporary, direct hire, and temp-to-hire business, while also cross‑selling other business units into new relationships.
- Independently maintain and nurture existing client relationships.
- Maintain quality company records in our CRM and ATS systems.
- Function as liaison between client companies and operations staff.
- Negotiate contracts and work agreements making business impactful on behalf of Nelson Connects.
- Responsible for participating in important business/trade events, representing and acting on behalf of Nelson Connects.
- Use excellent organizational, problem resolution, consultative sales, verbal and written communication skills.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or work equivalent.
- One to two years in a sales role is ideal.
- Knowledge of recruiting practices is a bonus.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.
Additional activities include:
- Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information.
- Travel by car.
Work environment:
- Work in an office environment where temperatures are comfortable and noise level is low to moderate.
- When traveling to client locations, can encounter varying work environments and conditions.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 plus commission
