Company is looking for an experienced contractor to step in as Strategic Sourcing Travel & Corporate Services Manager for a 6-month engagement.
- This project-based role is all about supporting company travel and corporate services procurement for both transient and group travel, as well as a variety of G&A (General & Administrative) categories—including HR, benefits and possibly, workplace-related services.
- The contractor role will be responsible for partnering with internal teams and suppliers to drive cost-effective, high-ROI outcomes and cost savings for immediate and mid-term priorities. You'll be hands‑on in optimizing travel and corporate service programs, strengthening supplier relationships, and working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Ideal fit: someone with deep strategic sourcing experience, strong industry knowledge spanning travel, corporate services, and G&A categories, and a proven history of negotiating successful deals. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing – Travel & Corporate Services
- Act as a trusted sourcing partner to cross‑functional stakeholders, and key business owners through regular check‑ins and status updates.
- Provide data‑driven recommendations on supplier selection, program optimization, and commercial terms to improve performance, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ensure that strategic program decisions and supplier relationships are aligned to deliver value, scale, efficiency, sustainability, and duty of care.
- Lead or support strategic sourcing events and projects as needed during the contract term.
- Manage bidding events/RFPs with travel, meetings & events and corporate services suppliers.
- Continue strategic alignment between transient travel and meetings & events across the enterprise.
- Support global strategic sourcing needs across company offices, including but not limited to:
Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
- Partner with Finance, Workplace, Events, People, HR, Legal, and other key teams to understand business strategy, identify sourcing opportunities, and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the business in defining and refining KPIs, capturing program and spend data, and using insights to drive recommendations.
- Evaluate and recommend suppliers based on service, quality, commercial value, and alignment within category needs.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions to secure best overall value across categories such as travel; including but not limited to hotels, meeting rooms, food & beverage, audio visual, event management, and related services, along with corporate services including but not limited to benefits, talent acquisition, learning and development, etc.
- Maintain productive supplier relationships grounded in open communication, transparency, and partnership.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to stakeholders on procurement activities, savings, program performance, and supplier status during the contract period.
- Ensure all sourcing activities are consistent with company policies, contractual standards, and relevant regulations.
- Monitor market conditions and industry trends in assigned categories and bring to surface cost‑saving ideas, innovation opportunities, and risk considerations.
- General understanding of the transient and group travel and corporate services industry, including strategy implementation and cost negotiation across a broad supplier base.
