- Provide one-on-one business coaching and technical assistance to start and expand small rural and Tribal businesses
- Design and deliver entrepreneurial training programs—both in-person and virtual
- Build capacity in local partner organizations to support thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems
- Connect entrepreneurs to financial resources and funding opportunities
- Develop community-led strategies that create lasting economic opportunities
- Assess community needs and implement customized solutions
You’ll work with communities that are often overlooked—helping launch new businesses, strengthen existing ones, and build sustainable wealth in rural America. Your work will directly impact families, communities, and entire regional economies.
Who Thrives in This RoleMission-driven professionals with experience in business coaching (operations and management), entrepreneurial ecosystem building, community economic development—especially those who understand the unique challenges and opportunities in rural and Indigenous communities.
Why This Skill Set is NeededWhile small business coaching is already part of the CEDC I role, BRE is specifically seeking a candidate who brings deeper expertise in this area while remaining capable of performing the full scope of CEDC I responsibilities across BRE programs.
