Responsibilities
Contract Specialists plan and manage acquisitions to procure a variety of products and services for NGA. They interact with customers to develop and implement an acquisition strategy, solicit and evaluate proposals, negotiate and award contracts, and administer contracts by monitoring contractor performance, preparing modifications, resolving problems, and terminating and closing.
Mandatory Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in any field with at least 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of business-related coursework (e.g., Accounting, Business Administration, Contracts, Economics, Finance, Law, Purchasing, or related disciplines). Reference 10 USC Section 1724 for exceptions and waivers.
- Must obtain DAWIA Certification in Contracting within 24 months and maintain 80 Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two years.
Experience in areas related to contract acquisition and management is preferred.
