Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Resource and Operations Analyst provides comprehensive support in budget, operations, human resources, and project management. This role serves as a central resource for Enrollment Management units, overseeing fiscal operations, coordinating business planning and reporting, and ensuring compliance with university and CSU policies. The incumbent manages complex administrative processes, supports strategic initiatives, and plays a key role in operational planning, resource management, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee budget operations, including forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting
  • Support development and administration of fiscal services, ensuring compliance with university and CSU policies
  • Coordinate procurement processes, including purchase requests, contracts, and vendor relations
  • Lead and support project management efforts, including planning, implementation, tracking, and reporting
  • Provide operational oversight and lead direction to administrative staff
  • Support human resources processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance tracking, and personnel actions
  • Coordinate business plan development, updates, and forecasting across Enrollment Management units
  • Monitor timelines and deadlines for administrative operations, including training and compliance requirements
  • Support space planning and office logistics within the Student Services Center
  • Provide customer service and respond to inquiries from students, staff, and external partners
  • Develop reports, presentations, and documentation to support leadership decision‑making
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate with constituents in a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong knowledge of program administration principles, practices, and methods
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, including the ability to organize and handle multiple priorities
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, business writing, punctuation, and spelling
  • Ability to compose correspondence and reports
  • Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive communications with employees and external agencies
  • Must possess excellent customer service, including active listening, ability to develop positive working relationships, and follow up
  • Ability to organize complex projects into milestone events and dates
  • Knowledge of university methods, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to research and evaluate policies, programs, and procedures and make recommendations
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and basic methods for research and statistical analysis
  • Ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings, provide training, and plan events
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency procedures and programs
  • Ability to create and sustain a team of diverse individuals
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training
  • Four (4) years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative duties in Higher Education
  • One (1) year of project coordination experience
  • Experience applying basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis
  • Experience supporting a high‑volume customer service‑oriented office
Compensation

Classification:
Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt II

Anticipated Hiring Range: $6,528/month - $7,499/month (Step 7 – Step 14)

CSU Salary Range: $5,797/month - $8,445/month (Step 1 – Step 20)
