Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent. Current Lifeguard Certification.
Experience Required/DesiredPrevious experience as a lifeguard required
Experience working in a camp, pool, or recreational setting plus, experience working with children, youth or groups is highly desirable
Previous experience in hospitality, food service, housekeeping or similar work preferred
Employment StatusFull-time
Number of Hours per Week: 40 +
Summary of PositionLifeguard is responsible for ensuring safety and well-being of all guests in and around the pool area. The Universal Worker supports a variety of camp operations, including housekeeping, kitchen assistance and guest services. The role requires flexibility, strong work ethic, and willingness to contribute wherever needed. This is a seasonal position.
Essential Functions- Lifeguard – Monitors pool activities to ensure guest safety and enforces all pool rules and procedures
- Universal Worker – Performs a variety of tasks including housekeeping, food service support, and guest services
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing tasks and needs
- Experience working in a camp, retreat center

Required TrainingsRegistered Youth Worker/Anti-harassment Training:
New employees are required to be a registered youth worker with Community of Christ or be able to register within 30 days of hire date. Anti-harassment training is also required within 30 days of hire and then required annually.
