Account Manager – Gulf south Region (LA, MS, AL area)

Universal Plant Services is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to support and grow existing customer relationships within the industrial and energy sectors. This role is responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with customers, identifying opportunities for additional services, and ensuring successful execution of ongoing projects and maintenance support.

The ideal candidate will live in the LA, MS, AL area and possess strong relationship-building skills, operational awareness, and experience working within refinery, petrochemical, power, midstream, or industrial service environments. This individual will act as a key point of contact between customers and internal operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction, service quality, and long‑term account growth.

Job Requirements Customer Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, and procurement personnel.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships and identify service opportunities.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and follow‑through.
Account Growth & Support
  • Identify opportunities to expand UPS services within existing accounts.
  • Support outage planning, turnaround activities, maintenance programs, and ongoing service needs.
  • Collaborate with operations and technical teams to develop customer‑focused solutions.
  • Assist with proposal development, pricing discussions, and service coordination.
Operational Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure successful project execution and customer support.
  • Communicate customer expectations, timelines, and project updates effectively.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns, service issues, and operational challenges in a timely manner.
Reporting & CRM Management
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, pipeline updates, and opportunity tracking within Salesforce or CRM platforms.
  • Provide account updates, forecasts, and customer feedback to leadership.
  • Track customer activity, service performance, and account growth opportunities.
Market & Customer Intelligence
  • Monitor customer activity, industry trends, and competitor activity within assigned territory.
  • Identify opportunities tied to maintenance cycles, outages, reliability initiatives, and capital projects.
  • Support customer retention and long‑term strategic account planning.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–7+ years of account management, sales, or customer relationship experience within industrial or energy industries.
  • Experience supporting refinery, petrochemical, midstream, power generation, or industrial maintenance environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial services, maintenance operations, and customer support processes.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Pay: $130K-140K DOE
