Supply Coordinator – BUSINESS SERVICE OFFICER I (SPECIALIST)
$5,014.00 - $6,276.00 per Month (New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.)
Working Conditions- This position is not eligible for remote work. In‑office presence required.

ResponsibilitiesUnder the general supervision of the Administrator I, Administrative and Warehouse Operations Unit, Business Services Section, the incumbent plans, forecasts budgets, manages databases, controls inventory, and resolves problems related to departmental supplies and forms. The incumbent provides services to central office, California field offices, and out‑of‑state field offices, and serves as a liaison with Franchise Tax Board management, customers, and vendors.
The department’s supply coordinator performs the following duties independently:
- Plan and forecast departmental budget requirements for supplies
- Maintain database and inventory records with accuracy and timeliness
- Control inventory levels, reorder supplies, and coordinate with vendors
- Resolve supply‑related issues and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Strong analytical experience in budgeting and inventory forecasting
- Experience using and maintaining inventory or database systems
- Understanding of procurement or supply‑chain processes
- Warehouse and/or supply inventory experience
- Ability to follow and improve ordering and inventory procedures
- Attention to detail when reviewing data, invoices, and counts
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with vendors, warehouse staff, and internal teams
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data‑analysis tools
- Ability to identify outdated items and suggest cost‑effective alternatives
