Mid‑Level Category Management Specialist

The Boeing Company, Boeing Global Services (BGS). This role is part of the BGS‑Government Supply Chain Strategy/Category Management team, responsible for supply chain category strategy across all BGS‑G businesses. Locations:
Hazelwood, MO;
Everett, WA; or Seattle, WA.
- Lead supply chain strategy for material & standards, raw materials, castings/forgings, and other systems categories, including supplier growth, maintenance, development, and exit.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and inform sourcing activities such as strategic sourcing, alternate/dual sourcing, part qualification, customer qualification/approval, and long‑term contracting.
- Negotiate agreements—including LOIs, MOUs, pricing, distribution rights, capacity agreements, exclusivity rights, and most‑favored‑nation terms—and issue and assess RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations.
- Identify and develop new sources/manufacturers through capability and capacity assessments, customer and part qualification/approval.
- Collaborate with Business Category Analysis (BCA) and Business Delivery & Supply (BDS) Category Management functions.
- Apply best practices and structure to manage multiple critical projects, prioritize and drive them to fruition.
- Communicate effectively across functional, organizational, and geographic boundaries, influencing stakeholders without direct authority and presenting to executive leadership.
- At least 6years of related work experience.
- Minimum 4years of supply‑chain experience.
- Minimum 2years dealing with risk identification and mitigation plans.
- Experience working cross‑functionally and building positive relationships.
- Strong problem‑solving and strategic decision‑making skills.
- Travel availability (approximately 10–20% of the time).
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or Master of Science in Supply Chain.
- Experience in supply‑chain category management, supplier contracting, or procurement.

Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $99,450–$143,750annually. Total rewards include competitive base pay, variable compensation opportunities, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. Eligibility depends on location, hire date, and applicable agreements.
