What you can achieve:
- Support the various operational units of the group worldwide in all technically relevant questions in your role as "(Senior) Manager Global Trade Compliance".
- You are also responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all trade and export control laws and regulations throughout the group.
- Together with a team of trade compliance experts, you manage the technical implementation of the trade compliance software, in particular SAP-GTS, and drive the strategic development of the global trade compliance organization in the group forward.
- You take a leading role in shaping the global trade compliance framework and provide technical guidelines for the worldwide units. In close cooperation with other departments, you identify risks and develop corresponding measures and documentation to minimize them. For example, through policies & procedures, process optimizations, and monitoring measures.
- You further promote the group-wide exchange within the global trade compliance community and actively support the worldwide training program for all relevant employees.
- The function advises and supports a variety of internal and external stakeholders and reports directly to the Head of Global Trade Compliance.
What you bring with you:
- Completed study in the fields of law, business administration, finance or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in export control and customs in an international company, including sanctions list checks, import/export procedures, special procedures, classification, and tariffation
- Proven relevant further education as well as profound knowledge of international trade and customs laws
- Secure handling of the underlying SAP processes and relevant transactions
- Profound analytical skills for identifying, evaluating, and solving complex compliance issues
- Very good communication skills in German and English, combined with an open, service-oriented, and team-oriented way of working
- Experience in conducting training sessions and presentations, also at C-level
- High motivation and a strong interest in export control, foreign trade, and customs-related topics are decisive for this role
