This is a full‑time, in‑office position, Monday‑Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM. The Therapist Scheduling Assistant is responsible for creating and maintaining clinician schedules according to authorizations, patient needs, and clinician availability. The staffing coordinator must maintain excellent relationships with the therapists and vendors, be aware of their availability and special skills, and their geolocation. The employee must submit the schedules before the end of the day and report to case managers, operations managers, and the DON.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone with previous home health experience or physical therapy experience. They are a reliable and hardworking individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment. They can easily shift priorities based on urgency, have critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to support that, and are flexible, adaptable, and able to negotiate with results to prove it.
Scheduling/Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities- Accept new referrals on a daily basis and create schedules based on referral requirements.
- Organize active patient schedules based on priorities and requirements.
- Manage, organize, and troubleshoot patient and staffing logs every day.
- Keep field staff availability updated and posted.
- Keep the EMR system up to date.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clinicians.
- Communicate with nurses and patients and troubleshoot based on situations.
- Provide accurate information and updates to therapists for daily schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
