Parish Administration Manager

St. Andrew the Apostle in Gladstone, MO is seeking a Parish Administration Manager. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the parish's administrative operations, human resources functions, office systems, facilities coordination, and business operations. This role works closely with the Pastor and parish leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day operations that support the mission and ministries of the parish. This is a full time position averaging 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily administrative and business operations of the parish.
  • Supervise and support office administrative staff, ensuring efficient workflows and excellent customer service.
  • Manage core Human Resources administrative functions, including payroll coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, timekeeping, employee records, and leave administration.
  • Coordinate parish administrative policies, procedures, and office systems to promote consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of parish buildings and grounds, including capital improvement and facility-related projects.
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and service contracts for operational needs.
  • Manage liability, property, and workers' compensation insurance claims and serve as the parish liaison with insurance providers.
  • Lead administrative projects and operational initiatives that improve parish effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Pastor, School Principal, and other ministry leaders to support parish operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with diocesan policies, employment regulations, and other applicable requirements.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating parish events, projects, and operational priorities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative, operations, human resources, or business management experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with payroll, HRIS, or other administrative software is preferred.
  • Experience managing facilities, projects, or office operations is preferred.
  • Active Catholic in good standing is preferred; familiarity with the Catholic Church and an appreciation for its mission and ministry are required.
