RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Safety Supervisor in our Portageville, MI facility!

What You Will Do in Your Role
  • Administer and maintain facility safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to identify and correct hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor contractor safety activities and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Lead site safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety training programs, including Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks, and Emergency Response.
  • Maintain accurate training records and safety documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate plant first responder teams, ensuring training remains current and effective.
  • Plan and facilitate monthly emergency drills and develop lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage events.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate safety metrics and performance trends.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, SDS records, and required regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and respond to agency inquiries.
  • Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and reinforce positive safety behaviors throughout the facility.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing safety experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • CSP, ASP, or OHST certification.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, injection molding, industrial production, chemical manufacturing, or HAZWOPER environments.
  • Experience managing workers’ compensation cases and return-to-work programs.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated success leading safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
