Job Purpose

The Summer Intern with LP is designed to identify future leaders and provide them a valuable, challenging, and rewarding opportunity with LP Building Solutions. This program is designed to provide an internship to talented students and to help them grow and develop in their career path. These future leaders will be introduced to the career paths that LP has to offer.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Each participant could rotate through the following functions:

  • Project Engineering
  • Operations Management/Front Line Supervision
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety
  • Human Resources
  • Finance
  • Quality Control

The Summer Intern with LP is a 3-month internship aimed at students that have completed 3 years of schooling in one of the following disciplines:

  • Engineering
  • Wood Science/Construction
  • Forestry
  • Business/Leadership
  • Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Human Resources

At the end of the 3-month program participants will complete an assessment of the program and LP, a self-evaluation form, and a mock interview for a management position. Managers will complete an assessment of the student along with a recommendation to follow up with the student if an opportunity would become available that they would qualify for.

  • Ability and desire to travel to multiple manufacturing locations
