Are you an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional looking for a dynamic short-term engagement? We are seeking a Temporary Business Operations Specialist to join our Business Operations team in San Jose for a 6-month contract. There may be opportunities to extend the temporary period or transition to a full-time direct hire, contingent upon performance, adherence to company policies, and business needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a global industry leader, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and make an immediate impact on critical business functions.
You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations, collaborating closely with our North America Sales team and TSMC Headquarters in Taiwan to resolve business operational challenges. This role offers a unique chance to dive into the fast-paced semiconductor industry and contribute to high-impact projects.
You will report directly to the Department Manager of the Business Operations Support team.
Responsibilities- Order & Delivery Management:
Facilitate and manage customer order processing and delivery schedules, ensuring timely execution and communication. - Export Compliance:
Execute shipments in strict compliance with global export regulations, maintaining accuracy and adherence to legal standards. - Operational Coordination:
Coordinate and execute daily business operations, including product loading prioritization, business transactions, and sales data analysis to proactively identify and solve operational issues. - Client Relationship Support:
Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries regarding delivery status, shipments, RMAs, and other operational matters, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Actively participate in conference calls, and project meetings, including taking meeting minutes and following up on action items (AR). - Global Team Partnership:
Collaborate effectively with TSMC's cross-functional teams located in the US and global locations, fostering strong working relationships. - Project Contribution:
Contribute to special projects and post-sales service initiatives as assigned, leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in business operations, supply chain, or a related field; experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Proven strong data analysis skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data manipulation, reporting, and presentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, coupled with a strong analytical ability to drive results and solve complex problems.
- A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple processes concurrently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Superior critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Bilingual proficiency (Mandarin-speaking/writing) is a significant advantage due to collaboration with TSMC Headquarters in Taiwan.
- Prior experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain management.
