Role Description
The Salon Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ballwin, MO. The person in this role oversees daily salon operations, including managing appointment flow, maintaining service standards, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and team members. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching stylists, supporting professional development, and leading by example in delivering excellent hair care services. The Salon Manager handles staffing needs such as interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling, while monitoring performance and adherence to company policies.
This role also involves resolving customer concerns, promoting salon services and products, and collaborating with leadership on business goals, sales targets, and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong cosmetology and hair care skills, with a current cosmetology license or eligibility as required by state regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to build rapport, manage guest experiences, and support a positive team culture.
- Experience in hiring and onboarding staff, including interviewing, selection, and training of salon team members.
- Proven ability to manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, inventory oversight, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Prior salon management or supervisory experience preferred, with basic knowledge of retail sales and service promotion.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Ballwin, MO, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort using salon management or point-of-sale systems; basic proficiency with email and scheduling tools
