Senior Contract Associate

• Manage the complete lifecycle of reinsurance contracts for assigned accounts
• Draft contract language reflecting reinsurance negotiations between clients and reinsurers
• Initiate contract transmittals and coordinate execution of final documentation
• Build relationships with reinsurance brokers and clients
• Answer contract-related inquiries for assigned accounts
• Provide reinsurance contract analysis independently or with the Global Contract Consultant team
• Use Marsh Re’s AI-assisted contract analysis tool after receiving training
• Mentor and facilitate colleagues new to the industry through the Contract Drafter Academy
• Lead or collaborate on Contracts Team projects
• Create and present training on reinsurance industry topics
• Develop workflow tools to improve work-product efficiency and accuracy

• 2+ years of reinsurance experience
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in a relevant field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize tasks
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation and/or law degree preferred as a standout qualification
• Knowledge of contract law, contract provisions, reinsurance concepts and principles, basic regulatory controls, and general business trends

Demonstrates expertise in managing reinsurance contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and analysis, while effectively communicating with clients and brokers. Proficient in utilizing technology to enhance workflow efficiency and mentoring new industry professionals.
