Strategic Sourcing Category Manager – IT

• Lead strategic sourcing activities for complex small- to medium-sized initiatives
• Manage simultaneous competitive sourcing processes and high-value contract negotiations
• Achieve cost reductions and year-over-year cost and productivity improvements while maintaining or improving quality and vendor service levels
• Maintain supplier and Trinity Health group purchasing organization relationships
• Negotiate supplier terms, work with legal on contracts, monitor supplier performance, and conduct business reviews
• Optimize use of national, custom, and Trinity Health system purchasing agreements
• Conduct RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes; analyze responses and perform cost-benefit analyses
• Develop reports, present findings, determine favorable quotes, and negotiate optimal pricing and terms
• Lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams and build stakeholder consensus
• Develop, execute, and communicate sourcing strategies with senior management and stakeholders
• Promote Lean/process excellence and improve end-to-end process efficiency
• Serve as subject matter expert for category supplier engagement
• Represent Trinity Health on GPO advisory boards as assigned
• Plan, manage, and oversee complex sourcing project life cycles
• Review, redline, and draft contract language for discussion with legal
• Partner with Finance to validate forecasted savings
• Track supplier performance against scorecards and resolve service issues
• Establish comprehensive sourcing procedures across Trinity Health

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a clinical discipline and 5 years of relevant Supply Chain work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, competitive sourcing processes, complex contract negotiations, and financial analysis
• Understanding of Lean and technical problem-solving concepts and techniques
• Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and external suppliers
• Ability to address conflict and challenge conventional thinking across the organization, including senior management
• Ability to understand customer and stakeholder businesses at financial, operational, and business-impact levels
• Ability to identify potential issues and formulate viable solutions
• Strong analytical skills, including TCO, EVC, and NPV analyses
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
• Ability to understand supplier bases and relevant market trends
• Knowledge of contract law and governing regulations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
• Comfortable in a collaborative, shared-leadership environment
• Honesty, integrity, caring, and ability to inspire and motivate others
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
• ERP knowledge preferred
• Must be able to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures
• Must be able to travel to various Trinity Health sites (20%) as needed
