# SENIOR MWD SUPERVISOR## Description
** Purpose
* * Function independently as project lead for all MWD jobs, with or without gamma. Act as company’s representative in interactions with client and third parties on site. Use technical expertise and sound judgment to supervise MWD functions on assigned projects to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to the client’s satisfaction. Supervise and direct the work of MWD Trainees, MWD Operators, and MWD Supervisors.
** Duties and Essential Functions
*** Function as MWD project lead for all MWD jobs and act as the company’s representative in interactions with clients and third parties on site
* Obtain and review all necessary information and documentation and verify parameters of assignment and project specifications with client and other team members on site
* Use technical expertise and sound judgment to negotiate resolution of any problems or issues that arise to ensure client satisfaction and efficient and profitable completion of project
* Properly program all nodes of the MWD system to fulfill the needs of the client and well program
* Supervise receipt, assembly, programming, configuration and functional testing of the MWD tool or assist as necessary
* Inspect tools and equipment and perform equipment maintenance, including changing assemblies as required
* Use knowledge and sound judgment to quickly isolate and troubleshoot MWD performances issues
* Responsible for training, directing the work, and evaluating the performance of MWD Trainees, MWD Operators, and MWD Supervisors
* Manage all personnel issues on site and use management skills to resolve disciplinary issues, and initiate the disciplinary process and/or recommend termination as necessary
* Interview candidates for MWD positions and make recommendations for hiring and promotion
* Supervise and review calculations and make corrections as necessary
* Monitor well surveys and log data
* Maintain daily contact with MWD support team while on assignment
* Remain current with licensing and certification required for projects
* Oversee and inventory all returning MWD equipment and ensure it is loaded for departure
* Supervise shut down at completion of project and communicate with MWD support upon departure from the project location## Qualifications

* Education and Experience:

*** 5 to 7 years of demonstrated satisfactory performance as a MWD Operator and/or MWD Supervisor, with experience in multiple areas and tool types
** Skill Requirements:
*** Responsible for implementing safety protocols and ensuring all safety requirements are followed on an on going basis
* Strong oral, written, interpersonal and management skills, and ability to communicate effectively with client and other team members regarding progress of project
* Math proficiency and basic geometry/trigonometry skills in order to perform calculations
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and database programs
* Able to properly update all daily activity reports and well surveys using reporting software and distribute reports and surveys to all necessary parties
* Must possess valid driver’s license
