The Los Angeles Dodgers Quantitative Analysis team is responsible for using data to enhance decision‑making throughout Baseball Operations. They design, implement, and maintain the models used to inform decisions about player personnel, player development, and on‑field strategy. Candidates providing evidence of skills such as a personal Git Hub page or example of research will be given highest consideration.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Fit and evaluate predictive models of baseball
• Analyze, interpret, and communicate statistical results with appropriate nuance
• Perform ad hoc data analysis to answer urgent questions from groups within baseball operations

Basic Requirements/

Qualifications:

• Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
• Demonstrated experience building and evaluating predictive models
• Strong coding skills in Python (preferred) or R
• Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audiences
• Availability to live and work in Los Angeles for the duration of your internship
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Nice-to-haves:
• Experience with git/version control
• Exposure to probabilistic programming (Numpyro/PyMC/Stan)
• Exposure to deep learning frameworks (Jax/PyTorch/Tensor Flow)
• Experience working with time-series, image, or video data
