HSE Training Coordinator

Brunel is hiring a HSE Training Coordinator to work with an Oil and Gas company in Louisiana on a long term contract.

The HSE Training Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all HSE training activities during the construction phase of an LNG project. The role ensures that all personnel and contractors meet mandatory HSE training requirements and are competent to perform their work safely.

• Develop and maintain the HSE training matrix for all site personnel and contractors.
• Coordinate delivery of mandatory training including inductions, toolbox talks, and task-specific safety training.
• Schedule and track certifications (e.g., working at height, confined space, lifting operations, first aid).
• Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with contractors and department heads to identify training needs.
• Support competency assessments and workforce verification processes.
• Prepare training reports and provide regular updates to HSE management.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety awareness and training effectiveness.

• Diploma or Degree in HSE, HR, Training, or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years’ experience in HSE training coordination within large construction or Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of LNG construction safety requirements and high-risk activities.
• Experience managing training databases and reporting systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
