About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-established, heavy civil contractor in Kansas City that is looking for a Senior Project Manager with bridge and structural work experience.
This is a true Senior PM role with full ownership of projects from preconstruction through execution. The team is collaborative, and highly respected in the market for delivering complex structural work.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Own budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships
- Drive planning, means and methods, and overall execution strategy
- Partner closely with field teams to ensure successful delivery
- Be involved in preconstruction strategy, scope review, and buyout (not day-to-day takeoffs)
- Maintain strong cost control and financial oversight throughout the life of the project
- Local stability – KC based, no future relocation or unrealistic travel requirements
- Project ownership – PMs are hands-on and directly impact outcomes
- Tight-knit team – less bureaucracy, more autonomy
- 5–10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Proven experience running projects as a PM or Senior PM
- Background in bridge, structural, or complex civil work preferred
- Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, and field coordination
- Ability to lead teams and manage client relationships
