The Opportunity

We're seeking a Hydraulic Driller to join our team in the Okanagan, supporting civil construction projects across the region.

As a Hydraulic Driller, you’ll play a key role in operating specialized drilling equipment to support foundations, utilities, and other critical civil projects. You’ll work hands‑on with a skilled crew in the field, ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency every step of the way. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, tackling big challenges, and being part of projects that shape communities.

Although we are a union‑affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.

Your

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate in accordance with company and WorkSafeBC standards.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and crews to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Your

Qualifications & Skills
  • Operational experience with hydraulic drills, including Tamrock 800, Ranger 700, and Traxxon/Montabert hoe‑mounted drills.
  • Ability to lay out drill patterns and work independently with precision and efficiency.
  • Experience in the heavy civil construction industry; drilling around houses and urban settings is considered an asset.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Proven team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Flexible and willing to work night shifts as required; enjoys working outdoors in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean abstract.
What We Offer

The chance to be part of landmark projects that shape communities across British Columbia, while building your career with a company that’s been trusted for over 85 years. We foster a culture where people are more than employees — they’re contributors, owners, and leaders. At EAG, you’ll have opportunities to learn from industry experts, grow your skills, and make a lasting impact.

  • Union hourly rate: $35.00‑$45.00 per hour.
  • Union benefits package.
  • Training and career development opportunities.
  • Annual safety recognition and employee appreciation programs.
Safety & Compliance

Safety is our highest priority. All employees are expected to work in compliance with company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations, wear appropriate PPE, and participate in toolbox talks and safety training, where applicable.
