Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Project Manager 2 to oversee commercial construction projects from inception through completion. This role is responsible for managing project planning, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, subcontractor coordination, construction execution, and project closeout while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with extensive experience in commercial construction project management.

Duties
  • Manage assigned commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Provide proactive leadership and accountability for all phases of project execution
  • Maintain strong working relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Review contracts, project plans, specifications, estimates, and schedules to ensure project compliance and constructability
  • Coordinate site visits, pre-bid meetings, walkthroughs, and project coordination meetings
  • Develop project schedules and collaborate with superintendents regarding manpower, equipment, and sequencing needs
  • Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules of values, buyout logs, and cost controls
  • Oversee subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, permits, insurance compliance, and contract documentation
  • Manage project billing processes, monthly pay applications, invoicing approvals, and payment follow-up
  • Administer change order processes including pricing, approvals, documentation, and execution
  • Monitor and maintain project logs including RFIs, submittals, material tracking, and delivery schedules
  • Prepare and submit monthly financial forecasting and project health reports
  • Ensure project closeout documentation, punch list completion, and substantial completion requirements are completed accurately and timely
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and construction industry safety standards
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Assistant Project Managers and junior project staff as needed
Requirements / Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction project management experience required
  • Strong understanding of all phases and divisions of commercial construction
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, P6, Sage, Bluebeam, and related construction management software
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and cost control experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of standard construction contracting procedures and practices
  • Ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, schedules, and project deliverables effectively
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required on active construction sites
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to maintain visual attention and mental concentration for extended periods
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to observe details at close range and maintain peripheral vision and depth perception as needed for jobsite activities
