MRG is exclusively supporting one of Europe's most respected luxury hospitality developers in the search for an exceptional Project Director to join its expanding Iberian development team.

This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in delivering world‑class luxury resorts for an internationally recognised hospitality brand renowned for creating award‑winning destinations that combine exceptional design, sustainability, operational excellence, and unforgettable guest experiences.

With an exciting pipeline of new developments across Southern Europe, the business is seeking an experienced construction and project delivery professional capable of leading complex, high‑value hospitality projects from design development through to successful completion.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Property Director for Iberia, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of major luxury resort developments.

Working closely with international consultants, architects, engineers, contractors and local authorities, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the exceptionally high standards expected of a premium hospitality brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full design and construction lifecycle from planning through to project completion.
  • Oversee major luxury hospitality developments, ensuring programme, quality and commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Manage and coordinate principal contractors, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
  • Monitor construction progress, identifying risks and implementing proactive solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local building regulations, statutory approvals and health & safety requirements.
  • Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP disciplines throughout design and construction.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
  • Lead value engineering initiatives whilst maintaining design integrity and operational excellence.
  • Review Bills of Quantities, project costing and budget optimisation strategies.
  • Work closely with permitting consultants and local authorities to secure approvals.
  • Produce regular project progress reports for senior leadership.
  • Maintain exceptional construction quality, ensuring developments are delivered to brand standards.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across internal development teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support multiple projects where required and demonstrate flexibility to travel across the region.
About You

You will be an experienced construction professional with an impressive track record delivering complex hospitality, mixed‑use or luxury real estate developments.

You are commercially astute, technically accomplished and comfortable operating within fast‑paced, international project environments where quality and attention to detail are paramount.

Requirements
  • MSc or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • 15–20+ years' experience leading large‑scale construction projects.
  • Significant experience delivering luxury hotels, resorts or premium mixed‑use developments.
  • Strong understanding of construction management, design coordination and project delivery.
  • Proven experience managing architects, engineers, contractors and multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations and permitting processes.
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation, BOQs, project costing and value engineering.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
Location & Working Pattern

Based in Cortesia, Marbella or Tenerife.
