Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Assistant Superintendent in healthcare construction to join our team. The role involves managing various healthcare construction projects—ground‑up construction, hospital construction, renovations, expansions, and additions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for construction management and a desire to make a significant impact on healthcare infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Assist in the planning and coordination of all healthcare construction activities to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.Manage and supervise day‑to‑day operations of healthcare construction projects, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with the project schedule, budget, and quality standards.Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, including ground‑up construction, hospital construction, renovations, expansions, and additions.Ensure that all construction activities comply with all building codes and safety regulations.Assist in the preparation and management of project schedules and budgets.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.Assist in the resolution of any problems that may arise during the construction process.Maintain effective communication with project staff and ensure proper documentation of all construction activities.Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the role of Assistant Superintendent or similar in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction.Proven experience in ground‑up construction, hospital construction, renovations, expansions, and additions.Strong knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, and safety regulations.Excellent leadership and project‑management skills.Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with project staff and stakeholders.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Preferred: a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.Must be willing to travel as required by project needs.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to improving healthcare infrastructure.
